Lab Pack Chemist Job Description:


Lab Pack Chemist


Our client, an Environmental Remediation company in the Brampton area, is looking for a Lab Pack Chemist to join their team on a permanent basis.


The responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following duties:


-Tracking non-bulk waste and keeping in compliance


-Work with outside disposal site on profiling, scheduling, acceptance requirements, and pricing


-Assists in characterizing materials at field project sites


-Introductory knowledge of high hazard materials management/assessment and cylinder handling


-Work individually and on teams to perform lab pack services including chemical waste management, packing, and disposal


-Classify and segregate chemical and hazardous materials for disposal


-Complete regulatory documentation and shipment preparation


-Demonstrate supervisory leadership skills through interactions with team members


-Learn and work with, computerized waste tracking system


-Determination/eagerness to learn about the environmental health & safety field


Qualified candidates will possess the following skills and experience:


-Diploma or Degree in Chemical Engineering


-1+ years of experience working with hazerdous materials in a simialr work environment


-Completion of TDG, Reg. 347, WHIMIS and First Aid Training
