Sr. Environmental Engineer
Aerotek is currently hiring for a Sr. Level Environmental Engineer or Geologist to provide company-wide technical leadership in performance based contract (PBC) type remediation projects ,with focus on successful site closures. Our client offers a number of engineering and environmental services, including facility construction and demolition, remediation, and water and wastewater utility-related services.
The position requires working in a team based environment with several project delivery teams on multiple projects across the U.S. simultaneously, coordinating closely with other technical leaders in their specialty areas and assisting project staff in planning, bidding and executing their projects. This person will have risk mitigation and technical responsibility for company-wide PBC projects, including strategic and tactical direction, and technical accuracy of proposed approaches. Project responsibilities include issue identification, risk mitigation strategies, execution tactics, planning support and final technical reviews during PBC proposal, design, construction, and O&M phases of projects. Applicant must be capable of detailed understanding and defining PBC contract and regulatory issues and working with clients and regulators to define legally defensible end points that meet all stake holders’ needs within regulatory requirements is critical.
Qualified Candidates should have a minimum of 5 yrs. detailed involvement with PBC projects with a minimum of 15 yrs. overall remedial design and remedial action experience, including experience with the Department of Defense. Applicant should have a broad knowledge of direct PBC-type remediation experience with various traditional and innovative types of remediation technologies and approaches, including active remediation technologies and process selections, long-term monitoring/MNA approaches, and institutional controls.
